What Abbey was doing...
Abbey wanted to dramatically increase its share of the UK Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) banking market. To achieve this, a multi-disciplinary Change Programme was set up to successfully deliver a completely new operating platform of systems and processes. The delivered architecture included:
E-Banking. |
A Core Banking Engine. |
Fully Integrated Telephony. |
Credit Risk Management Solutions. |
The systems components were fully integrated, including links with existing Abbey systems and several third party partners.
How Bluerock helped...
Bluerock Consulting played a key role in the successful delivery of this complex programme, having overall responsibility for functional scope and the co-ordinated production of deliverables as well as providing specialist knowledge in areas such as credit risk management.
Working closely with Abbey, Bluerock consultants performed strategically significant roles within the programme, including:
Project management of the second architecture release, managing the development of new products, credit risk functionality and enhanced web capabilities. |
Delivery management across three phases of the programme (pilot, controlled launch, and full launch), with responsibility for defining and delivering the functional content as well as stage-managing go-live decisions. |
Within these roles, Bluerock consultants acted on behalf of Abbey in third party negotiations, and worked to ensure that maximum value was added to the programme, and to Abbey as a whole, by successfully fulfilling a small number of key roles.
