 Bluerock in Europe

Intesa and San Paolo had agreed to merge. To ensure delivery of the benefits, Bluerock architected the strategic consolidation and cost reduction post merger, with initial focus on the global cards business. Through a series of financial cost-analysis, management workshops and validation sessions with the foreign banks and consulting with the regulators, a new organisation structure and revised architecture were designed including a business case and financial model to support the recommended solution presented to the board.

Derivatives Operating Model

Having agreed a high level operating model for supporting the business' derivative trading requirements, detailed assessment of the key applications was required in order to determine coverage of requirements for all areas of the business. Any significant gaps in capability were to be identified and budgets and plans for development and implementation determined. Bluerock's team of subject matter experts conducted a detailed review of the front and middle office requirements in order to determine the extent to which thinkFolio would provide a comprehensive fixed income solution and the potential for either thinkFolio or Cafit to support the equity business.

Bluerock delivers Complex Change

Barclaycard and First Data International signed up to a joint venture with Argos & Thomas Cook to deliver co-branded credit cards and loans. This was a key partnership designed to deliver incremental economic value. Bluerock worked with FDI , Barclaycard and the respective retailers to ensure delivery of the complex change required in implementing the partnership deal. Bluerock defined the costs and benefits to support business justification and contract negotiations. Designed the solution from an IT and Operations perspective working with Barclaycard and the respective retailers. Providing leadership to oversee the delivery and launch of all products, managing teams across multiple locations in UK, Greece, India and USA.

Standard Life De-Mutualisation

Bluerock programme managed the Standard life Demutualisation Programme for the final, vital 9 months up to delivery. The Programme was of unprecedented scale and breadth, involving the design and implementation of an innovative Scheme of Demutualisation and requiring input and consent from numerous Regulators and Experts, as well as communications with over 5 million policyholders in 146 countries. Over a two year timeline, approximately 450 internal staff, consultants and Advisors worked on the Programme. 

Bluerock as Strategic Partner to MasterCard Advisors

Bluerock in conjunction with MasterCard Advisors was engaged by RBS Cards to run a Strategic change Programme across their entire business portfolio which included RBS, NatWest and Mint. The Strategic Programme address back-book as well as the future card and loyalty propositions across all brands. Bluerock managed the data driven programme to assess the Card portfolio performance in relation to Key Customer, Commercial and Product Performance Metrics
